NOW OR NEVER
MANIZHA x JIM BEAM
TREATMENT BY AITORE
Foreword
We continue the global story of Jim Beam Welcome Sessions, in which artists return to iconic places from the past. The heroine of our episode is Manizha and she returns to her university, namely to the hall of the Tsvetaev Museum of the Russian State University for the Humanities, where her student career began and where she first wrote her first outlines.

In our concept, we see a very heartwarming welcome form the museum and blooming flowers, as if it is highly delighted to see her again.

Concept
The concept of the clip is based on 2 main ideas: Manizha's emotions, who returns to the university museum where she studied, and the story behind the song that tells us about feelings and emotions she has experienced in relationships.

The entire live performance will be built on light effects and aesthetically pleasing scenery, decorated with flowers. Manizha will be sharing her emotions with the viewer through interacting with set parts as flowers, art pieces and etc.

The track itself is very sensual and I want the live performance to be affective and emotional.

Location
Why did we choose this location?

Some of Manizha's recitals were held in the Tsvetaev Hall for small groups of students and even teachers. In general, this hall is associated with the beginning of Manizhi's career and keeps warm memories of the singer's student years.

This place combines student's desire to learn and grow with powerful energy of art, which helps students achieve creative success not only at the university, but also beyond its borders.

The center of the hall is filled with flowers and greenery, but there still will be a path for Manizha to get through all the flowers. A musical orchestra and a group of musicians are placed opposite to each other, thereby occupiying two opposite walls of the hall.

Look & feel
The track's mood can be described by Manija's emotional transition from pain and suffering in old relationships, to lightness and serenity after she lets them go.

Throughout the track, the mood changes from calm and melancholic to dynamic and energetic. Visual solutions were designed to make the viewer experience the same rhythm in emotions.

It is also an important to point out that Manizha herself is unbelievably charismatic singer, so everything is set to keep focused on her emotions and she knows how to convey her emotions in the frame.
Flowers

The flowers that cover the entire hall bring the location to life. This creates the effect that the museum welcomes the artist. We are witnessing a non-verbal warm dialogue between Manizha and the museum, where her creative career began.

Flowers also convey the mood of the song itself, helping the listener to feel the meaning of lyrics. In the third verse, Manija sings about the decision to move on, while the flowers in this case show the freedom that she is experiencing in her soul at this moment.

I would like to use real flowers to achieve the most natural and realistic look.

00:00-00:30
At the beginning of our live perfomance, we show how the doors open and Manizha enters the Museum hall.

We shoot it from the front, accompanying it while the movement goes on. Manizha moves in a light manner and sings the lyrics. She seems to float in the frame, since all movements are smooth and calm.

00:30 - 1:00
At this point, Manizha approaches the music band, as if passing through it, standing in front of it. The camera accompanies her from the front and also flies the band through.

Manizha starts singing into the microphone along with the musicians and backing vocalists. Musicians play different instruments. Around them are full of flowering plants and herbs.

The camera moves next to Manizha, capturing her movement and singing.

In parallel, the camera shifts to musicians, drummer, guitarist, etc.

01:10 - 2:00

Then the camera is again fixed directly on the artist. Manizha starts moving forward. At the location, the overall light diminishes slightly, highlighting the artist with a light illumination from above.

Manizha begins to move a little closer to the center of the room, decorated with flowers. Manizha moves on different sides of the hall and interacts with the location. It is possible to fly the camera around the artist to slightly show the atmosphere of the hall.

The moment she reaches the center of the hall, Manizha stays there for some time.

02:00 - 03:30
At this moment, the camera stops in front of the artist. During the melodic singing, the camera turns to the side with the orchestra (which all this time was hiding in the other side of the hall and we did not see it). The camera starts to rotate 180 degrees. In the middle of the movement, the light is completely turns off.

At the moment the melodic moment begins, the light switches and the viewer sees Manizha, behind her we see a beautiful orchestra. The orchestra is surrounded by a choir of four girls, two on each side. Everyone starts to sing the lyrics of the song.

The lighting starts blinking, the dynamics of the performance increases, enhancing the emotionality of Manizhi's singing and the atmosphere of the live performance in general.

03:30 - 04:10
Manizha starts moving forward. Lights on dimmers, and we highlight the artist in the frame. Then we see Manizha in the center, a choir begins to walk along with her, singing and interacting with her. Two girls on both sides. Then they stop in the center of the hall and we start filming their movement and singing in the frame.

All this reaches an emotional climax and we end our live long shot where Manizha stays around the statues and flowers.

In this video, the scheme of Manizha's movement around the hall at a fast pace is shown.

Style
Since the location is the museum, Manizha outfit will compliment both the classic interior of the hall and with delicate flowers around. It seems to me that this outfit combines the modesty of museum, the freedom of Manizha's creativity and will perfectly match the band, an orchestra and, a floral atmosphere in the hall. According to the style of Manizha's clothes, I want her to be in a very delicate loose dress, the silhouette of which will play beautifully and flutter during movement. The style of the dress itself and its shade will distinguish the singer against the background of many colors and convey a sense of freedom through the lightness of the material.

Below are several options for the image that in my opinion may be suitable.

Alternative location

Brand Integration

Behind the musicians who will be in the center of the hall, in the background we will put a glowing Jim Beam Welcome Sessions logo.
Brand Integration

Alternatively, you can use the logo on the face of the drum.

The logo will be visible even on general plans, concisely and not intrusive.

Brand Integration
The Jim Beam bottle will be on the counter at the DJ or keyboard player.

You can position the bottle on the side of the counter so that it can be seen clearly, but at the same time it fits well into the atmosphere of everything that happens on the stage.

It is also possible to simply have an additional stand for glasses and a bottle of Jim Beam, next to the musicians.
